This policy explains what information AviationCalc (aviationcalc.xyz) handles when you use the site, why, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and specific to what this site actually does.
Summary
- The calculators run in your browser. The values you type into a calculator are not sent to us or stored by us.

Calculator inputs
All calculations are performed by a script running on your own device. The numbers you enter and the results you see are not transmitted to our server, are not saved in a database and are not logged by the calculators.
Contact form
When you send a message through the contact form, we collect your name, your email address, the topic you choose, any page or calculator you name, and your message. We use these details only to read and answer your message and, for error reports, to correct the site. Messages are delivered by email to the site operator and a copy may be kept in the website’s administration area. We keep contact messages for as long as needed to deal with the request and for a reasonable period afterwards, and delete them on request.
To limit spam, the form uses a hidden field, a time check and a short-lived counter of how many messages have come from the same connection. That counter is derived from the connection’s IP address in a way that does not store the address itself, and it expires after one hour.
Server logs
Like almost every website, the server that hosts this site keeps technical logs of requests. These typically include the IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page and the browser’s user-agent string. Logs are used to keep the site running, diagnose problems and protect it from abuse. They are managed by our hosting provider and are deleted according to its retention schedule.
Cookies and browser storage
The site itself does not need cookies for visitors to read pages or use calculators. If a cookie notice is displayed, your choice is remembered in your browser’s local storage so that you are not asked again. Details, including advertising cookies, are in the Cookie Policy.
Advertising
This site may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. When ads are displayed:

Where data-protection law such as the GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website (server logs and spam protection), on your consent (advertising cookies, where required), and on taking steps at your request (answering a message you send us).
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Information is shared only with service providers that help run the site, such as the hosting and email providers that carry contact messages and, when ads are shown, Google as the advertising provider; or where the law requires it.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its use, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. Because we hold very little, most requests concern contact-form messages. To make a request, use the contact form and choose “Privacy request”.
Children
The site is intended for a general audience interested in aviation and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If the way the site handles information changes, for example if analytics or a new service is added, this page will be updated first and the date at the top will change.
